The Power Electronics Laboratory located at Federico II University, Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology is a modern research Laboratory equipped with the state-of-the-art instrumentation for design, simulation, layout, prototyping and testing of power switching converters. The research in the Power Electronics Laboratory involves modeling and dynamic control of power converters, new topologies, integration of switching converters, inverters, class-D power amplifiers, soft switching techniques, single-phase and three-phase power factor correction methods, single phase and three-phase active power filters, power conversion for alternative energy sources, for automotive applications and for energy harvesting.
