Aims:

The course provides the criteria for design, modelling and control of the most known power converters .

 

Contents:

 Part I:

1. Design of the power stage of the main power converters.

2. Gate and base drive circuits for phase controlled converters, dc-dc converters and VSI inverters;

3. Snubbers circuits;

4. Cooling circuits for power stage of the main power converters.

  

Part II:

1. Dynamic models of ac-dc converters;

2. Dynamic models of dc-dc converters;

3. Dynamic models of dc-ac converters.

 

Part III:

1. control schemes for ac-dc converters;

2. control schemes for dc-dc converters;

3. control schemes for dc-ac converters;
